A year after.

Its been one year since I have donated my hair to locks of love. When my hair was first short i loved it. I was so excited because it was short and cute. Then i realized after a few days i couldn't even put it in a pony tail, and my hairstyle for the whole summer was half up half down. My hair was so thick that the person cutting my hair had to put it in two pony tails. The picture below is a picture about a year after donating.

Mandy Moore's new cd.

I have waited forever and a day for Mandy Moore's new cd. Its finally here and she was on ellen today for her release. Her new cd is called Amanda Leigh, which is her real name! I love Mandy's new stuff especially her song Gardenia from her last cd called Wild Hope.

24th L.A. Marathon

Today is the 24th Los Angeles Marathon. My dad has run every single marathon in rain or shine. The marathon is usually in March but they have a new owner so they changed it to Memorial Day. Since it is on Memorial day and finals are only a week away I couldn't go, but i am there in spirit watching it on t.v. My dad is part of the Legacy runners. When i was younger our girl scout troop passed out water and every time i lost my voice. Yesterday my dad and I went to the Health expo fair, where they give the runners their running bibs and you can buy cool running stuff. They give samples of energy bars, energy drinks, energy smoothies and more. This year they even had a Nesquick Chocolate milk stand giving out delicious Chocolate milk. When i came home I cleaned my room because i was so energized from all the samples.

Re-visting my I love it when blog

I'm doing a love it when blog, to put good vibes into the atmosphere(because that is what Yoga has taught me) 

I love it when i'm appreciated for doing the smallest action.
I love it when a container of ice cream lasts me two or more weeks.
I love it when I surprise a professor with my ideas.
I love it when one of my friends calls me out of the blue to tell me something that happened to them.
I love it when I turn on my ipod and its my favorite song.
I love it when the tram comes right when i get to the tram stop.
I love it when my favorite pencil is at the top of my backpack.
I love it when I get to my dorm from a crazy day at school and get cute bumper-stickers.
I love it when my professors praise good work.
I love it when I find money on the floor.
I love it when its my birthday.
I love it when my room stays clean for weeks at a time.
I love it when I find a picture of me and my friends when i was little.
I love it when my favorite movie scene starts.
I love it when i find a penny on the floor, because i know that it means my Dad is thinking of me.
I love it when I go to Target with my Target buddies.
I love it when I get letters in my mailbox.
I love it when I drink hot chocolate.
I love it when it pays off to live in Los Angeles and I see a celebrity.
I love it when I go to the mall and find a cute outfit.
I love it when my cousin talks to me for more than 2 seconds on the phone.
I love it when I take my first sip of my Jamba Juice.
I love it when my oven doesn't turn off, and my food is ready the second i go and check it.
I love it when I get picture comments.
I love it when i feel closer to God.
I love it when spell check is wrong.
I love it when the wind blows through my hair.
I love it when Ferris Bueller sings on the float.
I love it when I get to see all my high school friends.
I love it when I watch my favorite musicals.
I love it when I win a game of Tetris.

8:00-9:20 travel to other campus and wait around for class

Around 12- Subway

1:00-2:30 Homework and studying

5:15 Left work(Then went to mom's friends house)

7:00-7:45 Shower/ cleaning dishes

8:00-9:00 Dancing with the stars

11:00-12:00 Lunch/studying

1:00 Found out I got my job!!!

1:30- 2:45 Teacher academy advisement

3:00- Go to mom's work

3:45- Frozen Yogurt from Costco (YUM)

4:00 Eye exam at costco and an EARTHQUAKE while there. Ended up getting my eyes checked at 4:30 because they were slow and didn't even get my prescription because it would take a week and a half

5:30- Left Costco with nothing but a headache and so ready to go home

6:00 Dinner/news

7:00-7:45 shower/ clean dishes

8-10: Dancing with the stars

10:00 Sleep

Wednesday: 

8:00-9:20 Travel to other campus and study/cheap coffee

9:30-10:50 Sat in a freezing math class while trying to do math, and quiz

11:00-11:15 Went back to regular campus and waited for bus

11:30-12:30: 2 buses and walking home

12:45 Arrived home. Sat down. 

1:00- Called my family to tell them i got the summer job

1:35 kept calling the math dept to see if my test was graded

1:45 picked up something for my mom at my neighbors house

2:00 registered for classes

3:00 cleaned a little and then had to deal with my contract for camp

4:00 Talked to my friends on phone about life

5:00 Watched Gilmore Girls for 15 minutes and then have to boil water for artichoke and turn it off because my mother does not like the noise

6:00 Shower. Realized i forgot to tell my mom that my doctor is on summer leave. Looked at my huge contract with mom

7:00-7:45 Dinner,news, clean dishes

8:00 Checked email and listened to music

9:30 Sleep

Thursday: 

8:00-9:20 Geography, my professor was late again!!! He wants to save the world by riding his bike to school but fails on getting to class on time. LAME

9:30-10:50 History of women- Learned about world war 2 and how women had jobs during the war.

11:30 Checked email found out that i didn't pass math challenge test. FML

12:00 went to Burger king- they have good fries and milkshakes(not as good as in N out though)

12:30- 2:15 Went in library and did math extra credit and organized my life

2:15- 2:30 Walked to mothers work

2:30 Picked up girl scouts

3:00 Had to wait for 24 girls to come out from class and organize them in the hot sun.

3:20- Had snack with girls and helped with opening the meeting.

3:40- Taught girl scout songs, the same 4 over and over again. The girls loved it though

5:15- Left girl scout meeting

5:45 Got upstairs and relaxed

6:00 cooked pasta

7:00 Ate dinner and watched shows

8:00-10:00 UGLY BETTY  FINALE Episode of season! Update blog

world meet the new additions to my life

For about 3 months our dishwasher was going crazy. You had to slam it shut and one time it feel on my ankle. Finally we got a new dishwasher because there was a leak going down to the people below us. We got it last week while my mom and i were in the desert.

We also have faster internet. After many months of being frustrated with our internet, we decided to switch to time warner cable. This internet is super fast. 

This is the first of my world meet. Afalda my friend from csun had this idea. 

Sleep-away Camp here I come...........

A couple of weeks ago I applied to a sleep away camp, in malibu to become a counselor. After many weeks of waiting for the final interview I had it today. It was about 15 minutes and the interviewer asked a bunch of different kinds of questions. He seemed really happy with my answers and said he needed to check my references and do a background check and that he would get back to me on monday. I'm so excited to work at a sleep away camp and have a great summer.

Ear infection.

Today i went to the doctor to have her confirm that i had a ear infection. I have a history of ear infections and i knew right away that i had it because it sounded like an echo or like I was under water. My appointment was at 12:45 and i got in early and was done by the time my real appointment was supposed to start. Ear infections are not fun at all and the whole time during classes my ear hurt and it sounded like everyone was screaming. I have anti antibiotics  and i hope they work fast. The doctor thinks i got it when going to Palm Desert because there is altitude.

There is a first for everything

This is the first mothers day without my Grandma Edith. She was 94 when she passed away. My dad threw a rose into the ocean to remember her today.

This is something I wrote about a couple months back:

The last gift my grandmother ever gave.

The weekend of Thanksgiving, I went to visit my grandmother who is just a few minutes from my house. She lived in an assistant living community and had Alzheimer’s. We usually go for about 20 minutes depending on if she is asleep or if she is doing an activity. We went in and she was in her wheel chair, wearing her hat that has sequences on it. My dad said hello and then I kneeled down to say hello. She gave me a tiny smile. The last of its kind. My dad said that he hadn’t seen her smile in a long time, but that I got the last smile. When I left my house to go back to csun, I waved to her and said goodbye with out knowing that Thanksgiving 2008 would be the last time I saw her. That was my last gift from her. A smile that will last a lifetime.

Reunited with good friends.

Today after class my friend Mo (Monique) came and surprised me in the library.  I haven't seen Mo since High School and missed her so much. I have known Mo since the second grade because we were in Girl Scouts together.

Birthdays, Boys, and Bus rides oh my.

Today was a stressful and weird day. The only really good thing about today is that its Meghan's birthday today! Happy 20th Lady! Wish i was there to celebrate your special day.

Since my internet is always weird i didn't get to print the geography notes for class and had to get up early to do it today. I tried printing it and after 3 times it finally printed my 6 pages about China and Japan. We left the house early(for once) and I got to school about 10 minutes earlier than usual. I was walking and it was cold, so i had my arms folded and this guy kept looking at me and i felt like i was being watched. I looked over and this guy smiled at me and was like "HI"!. I said hi just to be friendly and he kept talking. He asked if i was ok, and then he introduced himself. Then he left, and that was the beginning of my day. I was still not awake, so i went and got peppermint tea since i was early to school. Then I went to class and learned the Chinese words for West and East and random stuff about China, that was interesting for once. Then i went to history of women which ended early. I got on an early bus and was so ready to just go home, but the universe had other plans.

I got on the bus and was about 15 minutes away from my bus stop, when a man and his girlfriend or wife got on. They didn't put enough money into the pay machine and the bus driver kept telling them to put in fifty cents. The guy said he already did even though the machine has a counter. He said he didn't need to put anymore and kept arguing with the women bus driver. He then began cussing. The bus driver told him to put more money in and his friend finally said lets get off the bus because the bus driver is disrespectful. Then the guy got really mad and started cussing a lot. Too much. The bus driver pulled to the next stop and asked him to get off. He kept cussing and then said something to the effect of "Be here tomorrow, same time same place. "The bus driver understandably took this as a threat and put the bus in park to call the police. While the guy needed to just pay, and move on the rest of us had to get off the bus and deal with the police. The police were just asking us questions and then the next bus came. In the mean time, i got home about 30 minutes late because of some guy having a bad temper. As soon as I walked in I started laundry, cleaned my room and made a cup of my favorite tea.
