Friday favorites-Grandpa Bill

This year marks year 6 of my Grandfather deaths, and he has been on my mind a lot so i decided to make him my 2nd friday favorite. This picture is from my cousins wedding, where we danced to "The way you look tonight"(lyrics below). My grandpa Bill made me feel like the luckiest Grandaughter, i miss him everyday.

Rainy day

Today it was sunny for about 5 minutes and then the rain started.



I laid on my bed and just listened to the rain. I love the rain!

Friday Favorites-Chocolate Disaster.

I have decided to take one of my fellow bloggers ideas and change it a little to make it my own. Every friday(no matter how crazy life gets) I'm going to post my favorite thing. It could be a quote, picture, or video. Here is #1.

I love my creation that i make at Souplantation. I call it the Chocolate Disaster, named by my friend Heather. I put half a brownie on the bottom followed by frozen yogurt, then i put sprinkles and chocolate sauce, with the rest of the brownie crumbled on top. Its the best desert, and more than once random people asked me to make it for them.

Today i cleaned my room for the most of the day because it was such a mess. This weekend i helped with the Girl Scouts at a camp-out at the leaders house. The camp-out was to see if the girls could handle sleeping outside. Half of them got up during the night or didn't sleep at all. My room was such a mess because I was trying to find my camping stuff all last week. Then my mom's friend and daughter came over and we did crafts and ate dinner.

Today i helped my friend set up her room in Culver City. We moved some boxes from her old house and I helped put her whole vision of her room together. Christy's room is light yellow.

Old Mc Donald had a dinosour

Today after my tutoring job, i did room parent childcare. There were five kids, and one little boy who was 3 fell in love with me. We sang old mc donald had a dinosaur the whole night and he didn't want to leave when it was time to go home. He said he cries when he goes to school,  but today he didn't cry because he knew he would have fun.

Lists

I want to start making lists.
Lists about everything.
Short, long, full of detail, lists with just one word.
Lists about tasks, food, books, chores, music. Tons of lists.
I want to put them around the room and have them mean something.
I want them to work, more than anything.

inspiration.

I got my old tutoring job back and all the kids welcomed me back with open arms, even those i didn't know. I helped the kids with their homework and then we played handball and played games until their parents came. I work once a week, which isn't much but at least its something.


I'm taking a online course called Early Childhood Education. Its pretty much confirming that children are amazing. Its also a class to reflect on our own childhood.

I have decided instead of just saying a picture is pretty to save it on my computer and put in a file titled "inspirational photos". Everyone needs a little inspiration every once and a while. Here are some of my findings from blogs and friends photos.

Happy 2010 and happy 100th blog!!

Its a new year and it also happens to be my 100th blog. This is a reason to celebrate. I've changed my blog name, and added a picture on the top. I'm changing up my blog a little, i'll be adding quotes, song lyrics and recipes.


On new years i hung out with my best friends from high school. We ate junk food and watched lion king and clueless. We also played disney trivia(which i won) It was tons of fun and i'm looking forward to an amazing year.

*jon and kate got divorced
*i got a new ipod

and of course i left stuff out but this is the major stuff

My new years resolution is to be positive and be organized no matter what comes my way.
